Visit Beekeeping unit “Melissa” in Kefalos. Visitors can experience the Greek beekeeping tradition and taste natural products from the hive. They can safely watch honeybees working inside observation hives and visit the apitherapy house to relax and anti-stress! In their gift shop, you can taste and buy unique products like honey, propolis, royal jelly, herbs, cosmetics and more from beekeepers in various flora areas of Greece!

The Beekeeping unit “Melissa” was founded in Kefalos Kos in 2009. It belongs to Drosos family which has been engaged in the production of Honey for a century.

They produce and bottle their own fragrant honey marrying the traditional method of production with the technology in the area of export and standardization of the product. Their aim to offer both to the consumer and our own children the nutritious honey of the land of Kos.

The “Melissa” honey is the result of the harmonius coexistence of humans with the nature, the old with the new. It is the grandfather’s experience and knowledge that passes down to the son and continues with the grandson…
